Syracuse Time & Alarm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Fire Alarm Service & Sales Admin to oversee the coordination of fire alarm service operations, assist with sales efforts, and ensure smooth execution of installations, maintenance, and client relations in both commercial and residential environments. This role requires in-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, safety regulations, and sales strategies to deliver high-quality results and drive business growth. The Senior Fire Alarm Service & Sales Admin will also serve as a mentor to junior technicians and contribute to operational and project planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Coordination & Maintenance:

  • Schedule and coordinate fire alarm installations, service calls, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 72 standards, local fire codes, and OSHA regulations.
  • Provide technical support to technicians, troubleshooting system issues as needed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and address potential issues.

Sales Support & Client Engagement:

  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Support marketing efforts by tracking ROI for local events and campaigns.

Technical Leadership & Quality Assurance:

  • Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.

Administrative & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, sales opportunities, and client communications.
  • Analyze service and sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure project accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fire alarm system service, installation, and/or sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, including Honeywell, Siemens, and Notifier.
  • NICET Level II or III certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial and residential fire alarm installations and service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities with a track record of managing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients and team members.
  • Sales acumen and the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

SCHEDULE
