Rapid growth and focus have led to the need for expansion in New York State, and we are looking for someone who can help us continue to grow our business. The Sales Engineer trainee will have the opportunity to grow a career that will eventually become a commissionable position once the initial training is satisfactorily completed. We are looking for someone that views their role not just as a sales representative, but as the individual responsible for leading that business forward. We expect a lot out of our Sales Engineers because the ultimate end-users of our products are our hospitals, universities, municipals, etc. that make up our community.

- $50K, Base + Commission

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain client relationships, identify needs, and provide tailored product recommendations, demonstrations, and proposals to secure sales.
- Analyze requirements, design customized time and alarm systems, and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure while adhering to regulations.
- Offer pre- and post-sales technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and train end-users on system operation and maintenance.
- Work with your Sales Manager to develop acquisition plans for new customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and act as a liaison between customers and product development for feedback and improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, contribute to sales strategies, and support marketing efforts to drive business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, and sales or related field of study (preferred).
- Technology sales experience is preferred and network experience is a plus.
- Solutions selling experience in any one or all of the following areas is helpful: Professional Development, software, hardware, or other interactive technical products.
- Ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of the customer organization.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales.
- Willing to travel.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent organization, time management, and presentation skills.
- Highly energetic and self-starter.
- Decision-making, problem-resolution, and creative thinking skills.
- Willingness to evaluate current strategies and change quickly when required.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS ARE NEEDED.
- Traveling to clients within the CNY, New York area to ensure face-to-face contact with prospects.
